June 15, 2009 - Sara Wheiles O' Donnal, Event Manager of Red Velvet Events, Inc., with offices in San Antonio and Austin, Texas has been nominated for the prestigious ISES Esprit Awards from the International Special Events Society (ISES) in the categories of Best Social Event over $75,000.  Sara has been a special event professional for over two years.  In that time, Sara has also been nominated for a 2008 Texas Star Award.

The event nominated for a 2009 ISES Esprit was an event titled White.Hot.Austin. for a couple looking to celebrate their marriage with friends and family not able to attend their wedding 10 months before. Sure to be nothing ordinary, this event included 4 separate parties, one of those being a kid’s only event with a separate crash pad; the main event included go-go dancers, special choreographed performances and of course exquisite cuisine.

Sara says ”This event was really special to me because it was one of my largest events starting out in the industry. It challenged me in ways I could not have imagined and was a great steppingstone to truly understanding and appreciating what it takes to be a success in this industry.”
