Earlier this month, we shared some of our top tips for planning a successful South by Southwest (SXSW) event. This week, we are here to reflect on our 2019 Interactive programs and show you how RVE does SXSW.

 

THE TITO’S PARTY BENEFITTING THE AUSTIN HUMANE SOCIETY

 

We helped Tito’s Handmade Vodka take over the iconic Arlyn Studios to host an event full of adoptable puppies, live music, and, of course, lots of vodka. A miniature replica of their first distillery, “The Shack”, provided a dance party complete with copper disco balls. The partnership with the Austin Humane Society not only provided an engaging activation, but of course helped Tito’s further their corporate social responsibility goals through a live event. Musical acts included Octopus Project, SMiiLE, Shawn Panter, Magne Carda, and DJ Girlfriend.

 

EQ HOME FOR MERCEDES BENZ

 

To promote their new electric vehicle, we helped Mercedes Benz build their ultimate SXSW home. Making their US debuts, the home showcased both the consumer EQC and the brand’s Formula E racing vehicle. Featuring daily networking lunches, interactive learning labs, and co-drives with brand ambassadors, the EQ Home connected SXSW attendees with industry experts, focused on creating an electric future. At night, the neon lights turned on and the music turned up, featuring artists DJ Window 98 and Josin. With a key eye for design and partnerships with influencers, Mercedes created an event that was perfect for social media sharing, furthering their goal of brand awareness and community building.

 

SXSW STARTUP CRAWL 2019

 

We love our continued relationship with Capital Factory to help produce their bi-annual Startup Crawl. The crawl connects SXSW attendees with local startups, creating an ideal opportunity for networking across the community. With their event during such a busy week, we secured all staffing, permitting, and transportation to ensure the crawl went off without a hitch.

 

SAP HOUSE AT TRINITY & SECOND

 

At the SAP House at Trinity & Second, guests immersed themselves in a number of innovative experiences that showcased SAP’s modern digital solutions. Whether it was through an interactive basketball activation in partnership with Under Armor, or a panel with thought leaders on the future of work, the house showcased the innovation of the SAP brand with experiences for all ages. Our team supported SAP at this event with our advisory planning, thoughtful food and beverage design and strategy, and onsite support and logistics management.

 

MIRAVAL – WELLNESS EXPO SPONSOR BOOTH

 

With a new resort just opened, Miraval signed on as the title sponsor of the SXSW Wellness Expo. We partnered with them to create a booth that truly exemplified their brand through their tenets of discovery, serenity, and sanctuary. Attendees engaged with the relaxing and reflecting nature of the resort through a gratitude journal, coloring station, sound therapy, singing bowls, SXSStretch station, and meditation tracks. Guests left with palo santo (a healing wood essence) and lavender sleeping patches, and a lucky winner each hour won a night stay at the resort!

 

ENTREPRENEURS LOUNGE 12.0: #MEATUP

 

In its 12th year running on the rooftop of Fogo De Chão, the annual Entrepreneurs Lounge brings like-minded entrepreneurs together with investors to exchange ideas and build new relationships. This exclusive event is a mix of local Austin and visiting entrepreneurs and investors brought together by SXSW. Through planning strategy, vendor management, and onsite coordination, we love being part of #meatup.
