A couple months ago, we released the first of a series of blogs titled Around Town to give our readers a peek into how we are tourists in our own city. But sometimes, we travel outside of Austin for our clients because we are a full-service creative events agency. Earlier in June, Amanda and Katera from the Professional Services team traveled to Los Angeles to execute a multi-day conference at the Loews Hollywood. See below for some of their favorite parts of their time in Southern California; and please note, this is not a paid advertisement.
The Loews Hollywood, obviously! This property is right off Hollywood Boulevard, immersing conference attendees into all things glitz and glamour. Just a few steps outside of the hotel they found the Hollywood Walk of Fame and street performers. The property also offered stunning panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, including the Hollywood Sign, and the Los Angeles skyline.
The West Hollywood food scene. Some conference attendees had the opportunity to dine at Madera Kitchen, a restaurant partially outside, full of living vines and trees. The restaurant features a space called the Wine Room, a dining space made private by walls of wine barrels. But conference-goers weren’t the only lucky ones who dined at Madera Kitchen—Amanda and Katera enjoyed dinner there after the conference wrapped.
Got their baseball fix. Once the conference was done, Amanda and Katera stayed an extra day to attend a Los Angeles Dodgers game. Both are big baseball fans, so spending a Saturday afternoon cheering on the boys in white and blue was a must. The RVEers had a blast despite a Dodger loss, and returned to Austin with some new Dodger gear in tow.
While we love Austin, some of our favorite events take place elsewhere! Have an upcoming event? Email firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s chat.
