Hi there! The team is hijacking the RVE blog today because some of us just returned from our RVE Rewards trip. Knowing Cindy, she wouldn’t outright brag to you how amazing this trip was so here’s our attempt. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

We came back from Belize Monday night feeling rested and thankful for our company and our culture. Visiting Belizean Dreams in Hopkins, Belize was, as the name states, an absolute dream! Curious what we did while we were there? Read on and find out.

Our arrival into Belize City was on a large international flight, but to get to Hopkins we had to take a couple of small prop planes. Hopping on these planes was unlike anything we’d ever done since they only fit about 12 of us; but it was the best welcome we could have had to Belize. Plus, the views were downright stunning.

The next day, we had our first excursion: snorkeling in the barrier reef! The Belize Barrier Reef is the second largest living reef in the world (outside the Great Barrier Reef) so you can imagine how excited we were to experience something that awesome. Our guides took us past some small, beautiful Caribbean islands—some of which were islands that the REAL pirates of the Caribbean hid out on—before anchoring in the barrier reef. Among other sea creatures, we saw intimidating stingrays and a grazing sea turtle before sailing back to Hopkins.

Our other excursion was zip lining through the Belizean mountains followed by a peaceful float down a river through the jungle. The zip lines towered over the river below us, providing extraordinary 360˚ views. Once we got in our tubes on the river, our guides taught us all about the ample plant life in this Belizean jungle.

When we weren’t off on excursions, we were enjoying the serenity that Belizean Dreams brought us. Since the resort is small, we were a majority of their guests, so we got to know the staff pretty well. It was great being able to walk to the bar at any time and see friendly, familiar faces. Some of us took cat naps in the beachfront hammocks, while others opted for comfy cabanas, but either way, we were well rested! Our team also discovered our two new favorite things: lemon chicken wings and Maria Sharp’s hot sauce.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Miriam, Hadasa, Charles, Mark, Patty, Sandie, and the rest of the Belizean Dreams staff for being so welcoming and accommodating. And thank you Cindy and Red Velvet Events for this incentive trip! It was unbelizeable.

This was not a sponsored post or trip. We really just loved the resort, the staff, and meeting our stretch goals for the third year in a row! 🙂
